Mothercare Body Pillow
During my first pregnancy as soon as my bump started growing I found sleeping to be really uncomfortable. I felt like the space between my hips was increasing or something, all of a sudden the way I had slept all of my life felt like part of my body was unsupported, and that was before the bump was even that big! I was told that it I used a pillow between my legs it would help, and boy were those people right! But the only downside was that it felt extremely unbalanced having support between my legs but nothing for my upper half, and eventually I discovered that there were these amazing inventions called body pillows which support your entire body!
I did my research and the reason that I liked the Mothercare Body Pillow was that there was no panel which goes underneath my body while sleeping. I am a huge fidget monster and rotate through the night like a rotisserie chicken, so I would need to be able to hug and take the pillow with me, which was what was brilliant about it.
The other reason I loved it was that it was full body length. This means that not only did it support my knees and thighs, but I could hug it at the same time – this may not sound like a big deal (and I’m not a sleep-hugger) but when you’re lying on your side and your upper knee is elevated you need your upper arm to be slightly elevated too, otherwise your upper body feels a little like its collapsed.
The only problem that I found with the pillow was the fact that the stuffing did not feel like it was enough. I had to fluff it before using it every night, and during the night it ended up becoming flat between my legs, just the place where I needed it the most. Understandably so, since thats where most of the pressure was placed, but I found myself re-adjusting it lots.
Other than that, this pillow has been an absolute relief and allowed me to get a better nights sleep and I thoroughly recommend it.
